Speaker Ready Room
We will be providing a Speaker Ready Room for the benefit of our DUG presenters. All presenters are asked to check in at the Speaker Ready Room at least one day before your presentation, if possible.
You might ask: "I've done this before, why do I need to check in at the Speaker Ready Room?"
Every year we strive to improve the DUG Conference. This often requires the use of new technologies or introduction of better processes. Speakers should be familiar with the technology they will have available to them, as well as with the new information and processes in place to ensure their success. To avoid last-minute surprises such as your file having become corrupted, not having the right software, or the need to make some last minute tweaks to enhance your presentation, speakers should come by the Speaker Ready Room and test their presentation on the equipment that will be used during their session.
We will provide you with sufficient time to familiarize yourself with the operation of the equipment and the opportunity to ask the Speaker Ready Room technician any questions about it. The Speaker Ready Room will open on Saturday, March 31, and will remain open through the end of the conference. An attendant will be present in the room to assist you and to answer questions.
The Speaker Ready Room is equipped with:
· A knowledgeable attendant
· An actual session setup for you to practice
· Personal computers and printers for your use
· Internet access
· Bulletin board to prestage your poster session
· Other items and support to help achieve speaker success
