Handouts

Continuing with the effort we began several years ago to save expense and paper and move toward becoming a more environmentally friendly conference, we will not provide session handouts at the conference. We do expect presenters to submit electronic copies of handouts and/or proceedings by March 12, 2012, for posting on the DUG Conference website so that attendees may print out handouts they'd like to bring with them to the conference or review at home afterward. Many conferences are moving to this practice and we thank you for your understanding and support as we strive to save our planet's resources.

Please upload your handouts/proceedings by March 12, 2012 using the URL provided in your Speaker Agreement confirmation email.

Acceptable Application Formats

Because many Microsoft users are still transitioning to Office 2007, we highly recommend that if you are use this version, you save your file as a “972003” file (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). This ensures that all interested attendees will be able to read your file. Your file must be submitted in one of the following formats:

· Microsoft PowerPoint (use application extension .ppt)
Note: Please save and close your PowerPoint document in the view you would like it to appear on the Web (i.e., slide view or outline view) PowerPoint remembers and opens a document in the same view it last was closed from.
· Microsoft Word (use application extension .doc)
· Microsoft Excel (use application extension .xls)
· Adobe Acrobat (use application extension .pdf)
· WordPerfect (use application extension .wpd)
· Windows Write (use application extension .wri)
