Water Taxi
The National Harbor offers an exciting new way to interact with the river that is not only fun, but also practical — water taxi service. Water Taxi is available to and from points around Washington, D.C., Virginia and Maryland. The Potomac Riverboat Company operates the Water Taxi service, which connects Alexandria's historic waterfront and National Harbor.

Child fare (ages 2-11) is $5.00 one-way and $10.00 round trip
To purchase tickets online, click here or visit one of their ticket booths at the Alexandria Marina on the corner of Cameron and Union streets, in Old Town Alexandria, in front of McCormick and Schmick's at National Harbor or at the Concierge Desk of the Gaylord Hotel at National Harbor.
King Street Metrorail Station and Old Town Alexandria Shuttle Service
Connect with the Metrorail or visit Old Town Alexandria's historic waterfront community via our King Street Metro Shuttle, departing directly from the Gaylord Hotel and stopping at King Street and the King Street Metro stop. Want to visit the Smithsonian Museums? You can also get on the King Street Metro to travel to the Smithsonian stop. Click here to visit the Smithsonian site.
